BOOK AN ONLINE OSTEOPATHY CONSULTATION

Online bookings are now available for Osteopathy consultations (initial and follow-up appointments) and 1:1 yoga sessions. The consultations will take place via video call and are available to book using the link below.

What does an Online Osteopathy consultation involve?

All of my Osteopathy consultations (whether online or face-to-face) consist of;

  • Taking an in-depth medical history: This includes talking about your current injury, predisposing health conditions, previous surgeries, injuries, broken bones, etc. This is essential for me to gain a full insight into your general health and ensure there are no underlying health conditions that could be causing your current symptoms (to which I would refer you to the appropriate health professional).

  • Objective and subjective assessment: This includes a series of questions about your current complaint to further understand the nature of the injury. We will also go through a series of movements to further assist in the diagnostic process.

  • Clinical examination: This includes a series of evidence-based examinations which are used to help form a working diagnosis. I will talk you through the exercises on video and ask for your feedback on how it feels.

  • Discussion: I will talk through what the results of the above tests dictate about your current complaint. We can talk through the diagnostic process and I’m here to answer any questions you may have.

  • Exercise-based rehabilitation: This is when I will talk you through your rehabilitation exercises; for example; strengthening and stretching the appropriate muscles, joint stability and mobility, exercise progressions (week by week outline) and alternative ways to help with your injury. Other advise may include; desk set-up, sleeping positions, breathing techniques and referral to alternative healthcare practitioners when necessary.

  • Follow-Up Advice: Every patient will receive an email summary after their session including; information about their injury, videos of their exercises, details about how many reps and sets to complete and any other advise given.

Can I cancel my appointment?

Cancellations require 12 hours notice so the appointment slot can become available for alternative bookings. If you have to cancel within the 24 hours notice period, there will be a charge of 50% of the usual fee.

Any further questions about online bookings, please don’t hesitate to get in touch via email at becthomaswellness@gmail.com. I look forward to being able to help you, even from afar!

Best,

Bec
